Learn With Crafts
playing is learning, learning is playing

A Polish-born artist, Halina Skrzypek has been working
with kids since she started
teaching elementary school
in Poland. Her
techniques create a fun and inviting learning environment through arts, crafts, music, and theater.

Halina grew up developing her talents in a variety of
folk arts traditional to Poland: paper cut-outs, crepe
paper flowers, embroidery, and tinfoil models of Kraków nativity scenes.

In 1981, Halina moved to Canada and took up the challenge of transposing the traditional Polish craft
methods into art
forms expressing Canadian life. She
has created a number of
art programs and has led workshops for the Alberta Teacher’s Association Fine
Arts Council to share with teachers the art of
paper cutting.

A teaching native, it is her pleasure to share her talents with others and encourage their artistic inclinations.

Halina is always available for group workshops or private consulting sessions to bring new artistic ideas to your home or school programs.
